This layout is from our New York honeymoon....I love how all the patterns capture the funky-ness of my hubby....

October Afternoon Sketch Challenge and 2Peas Glitter Girl Challenge

October Afternoon Sketch Challenge:

Create a layout using this sketch.
http://octoberafternoon.typepad.com/october_afternoon/2012/01/sketch-thursday-1.html

Adventures of Glitter Girl Challenge:
Create a layout using inspiration from other peas in the gallery.
http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/gallery/projects/videos/1794278-glitter-girl-adventure-003-breaking-the-block/

I combined these two challenges...it wasn't my original plan but when I saw the sketch from October Afternoon....and how it used a banner I just couldn't help it....all I had in my head was inspiration from Shimelle Laine and how she put buttons and multiple types of items on her banner and I really wanted to do it too.

So this is where I got my inspiration from:

This is Marcy Penner's version of the October Afternoon Sketch:
(I used her idea of the paper strips along the top and bottom of the page...she does this often and I love it)

And this is Shimelle's layout for this week's glitter girl...LOVE her banner (which was also inspired by other peas):

And so this is how MY layout turned out:

The supplies I used where almost all October Afternoon...some from new collections and some from old.
Patterned Paper - Farmhouse Collection: Guest Room; Attic Trunk. Sidewalks Collection: Hide & Seek.
Farm Fresh Collection: Hay Barn. Holiday Style Collection: Toyland. Thrift Shop Collection: One-of-a-kind & Still in Box.

October Afternoon Embellishments - Word Stickers from Sidewalks, Farm Fresh, & Fly A Kite. Shape Stickers from Sidewalks. Little Flyers from Sidewalks. Mini Market Cream & Red. Sprinklers - Robot Blue & Miss Mary Mack. Journalling Cards - Sidewalks.

Other Embellishments: Chipboard Butterflies - Maya Road; Acrylic Paint - Making Memories:Blue Raspberry; Mini Mono Stickers (red alpha) - Basic Grey: life of the party; Aqua Chipboard letters - American Craft - Thickers; Buttons and doily - Misc.

Scraplift A Pea Weekly Challenge - 2Peas

The challenge this week at twopeasinabucket.com was to scraplift a project from another pea (someone else from their gallery). For the challenge follow this link
http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/gallery/projects/challenges/1792789-weekly-challenge-scraplift-a-pea/

The layout I chose to scraplift if absolutely gorgeous!! I love all the strips of paper going down the page....so cute.

And here is my take on this layout design....I love all things rainbow, so the graffiti art and the strips of paper just seemed to call for a rainbow pattern....I also played with my mists again....I think I will be using them alot! I love them:) Most of the supplies used on this layout where from the January Studio Calico Monthly Kit....exceptions: brads, dominos, felt heart and the mist. Thanks for looking:)

Mists & Sprays Challenge

Since I have never really used all the wonderful sprays and mists I have collected I thought this was the perfect challenge to participate in. Find the challenge here: http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/gallery/projects/videos/1792245-glitter-girl-adventure-002-the-mists-of-magnitude/

So this is my first layout using my sprays. I used October Afternoon's Sprinklers in Robot Blue and Mister Huey's Atmosphere by Studio Calico. To get the large blotches I took the lid off and tapped the end of the dip stick (from the sprayer) over the paper.
This layout was also a bit of a "combo" challenge....well, at least my own challenge....I joined the Studio Calico kit of the month and I wanted to create a layout using just my kit. I managed to do it, with plenty of product left for many more layouts. My only additions were some kraft paper for my journalling and the mists. Oh and the ink for the stamp. It was so great to get back to scrapbooking...I think I have gotten my fill of cards for a while....the layouts are calling my name right now.

Valentine's Already???
