SOUS - Flowers

Its diecut challenge day over at Stuck On U Sketches (SOUS)!
I had fun with this one....this week's challenge is: FLOWERS.

I learned how to make this style of flower from the October Afternoon blog one day (follow the link here)...I love how they turn out so much...so sweet EVERY time!
This challenge was just another great excuse to pull out this technique and play....

I just cut out multiple flowers and stacked them with three dimensional adhesive...and then stitched a button into the center....perfect, me thinks :)

Mother.

Hi everyone!
It's time for another die cut challenge over at Stuck on U Sketches.
This week's challenge: MOTHER
Be sure to pop over to the blog to check out all the projects created by the other Design Team members. And of course to find out how you can participate in the challenge too! We love to see what creations you come up with!

OK...so here are my two takes on this challenge:

Celebrate Mother Earth
I made this card in celebration of Earth Day (April 22).
I also thought it would be fun to create a card for a "mother" challenge that wasn't the typical Mother's Day theme. I really love how this cutie turned out.

I went into Cricut Craftroom and played around with one of my fonts to create this "mother earth" die cut...turned out exactly how I wanted. Not bad for my first attempt at welding....lol.

Cricut Cartridges: Plantin SchoolBook & Give A Hoot; Cricut Craftroom
Supplies Used: Bazzill Cardstock & Kraft Paper; Crate Paper Emma's Shoppe Collection - Playhouse; Crate Paper Little Sprout Collection - Slate; Button - October Afternoon; Making Memories Metal Word - Card Sayings (Celebrate); EK Success Slim Edge Punch - Postage; Burlap Twine - Misc.

Congrats
Again I tried to stay away from creating a "Mother's Day" themed card...when I saw this image from the New Arrival cartridge I immediately got my idea to create a "congrats" card for the expecting mom and/or for a baby shower. I like the way the silhouette idea turned out.....

Cricut Cartridge: New Arrival
Supplies Used: Bazzill Cardstock; Fancy Pants 6X6 Paper Pad - Hopscotch; 7 Gypsies Barcelona Paper - Terrassa; Seam Binding Ribbon - Close to My Heart; Lindy Stamp Gang Starburst Spray -Bougainvillea Fuchsia; Linday Stamp Gang Moon Shadow Mist - Smoky Sapphire; Making Memories Metal Word - Card Sayings; Fabric Brad; Basic Grey Stitched Brads - Indie Bloom; Flowers - Making Memories; Photo Corners - Misc.

Well thank you so much for stopping by and checking out my cards today!
Happy Friday!!

Feelin' CRABBY today....

The Stuck On U Sketches (SOUS) die cut challenge this week is CRUSTACEANS.

Haha...this card is a little appropriate for me today!!
I have been running around like a crazy person and I honestly don't think I've EVER done a blog post so fast!! The days have gotten away from me this week...so many things to do, so little time....So pardon me, I AM a bit "crabby"......lol!

I used Create A Create from Cricut to die cut this cute crab.

Too bad I don't look this cute when I'm crabby! lol...
Well thanks for checking out my card...and for putting up with my "crabbiness"...

Be sure to stop by the SOUS blog and check out the other design team projects. Plus how you can join in on the fun and participate in the challenge too!

Happy day!
