This is the first time I have ever done one of these swap "thingy's"....and I LOVED it!!!!
What the heck is a card kit swap???
A group of us at the Scrapbook Nook signed up for the swap, we where then assigned partner's to exchange card-making goodies (rules: summer theme/colors and send at least enough stuff to create one card). Once we received our package of goodies we took a pic of what was sent and then created our little hearts out....
What a great way to shop in your own stash and ship some of it out.....plus in exchange someone sends you some fun stuff you probably don't have yet!! I love this!!
I was lucky enough to be partnered with one of my card-making idols....Danni Reid!!!
She sent me the most amazing and generous package of card-making goodies!!
Just look at all this wonderful, colorful happy!! I couldn't help but to be inspired!
Here are the creations I have made so far (with plenty of leftover goodies for quite a few more creations)......
I filled this glassine envelope up with some confetti and buttons to create a festive birthday card
I love this jar tag....and I am quite happy with how the flowers look with it...almost as if the jar is full of posies:)
Something a bit more masculine....
This little elephant is just so sweet...I immediately knew I wanted to create a baby card with it:)
A little country romance....
Head on over to the Nook to check out what the other girls have created with their kits...it is so fun to see what others do with products you love. I know I am anxiously awaiting to see what Danni creates with the goodies I sent to her!!
Head over to the Ippity blog today and check out all the inspiration - these girls feature a stamp set every Wednesday - yup that's today - so there will be lots of eye candy for you!
I have another super cute, new and wonderful stamp of the week for you today!!
Seriously, doesn't Unity do the most amazing job??!!
And here's the card I came up with - this stamp was perfect for busting out my copic markers. But if you are not a colorer check out what some of the other design team members did with this adorable stamp here.

It's challenge time at Unity Stamp Co!! Since July was my month for the challenge and we are right in the middle of summer, I figured why not focus on something many of us probably already have to create projects for - weddings!! Be sure to check out all the details on the challenge here.
This first card was so fun and easy to put together.....The birds in the paper and the birds on the stamps...so caaauuute!!!
And I love doing "girly" projects....I rarely seem to get to do them in scrapbooking so I have to make up for it in my cards....and weddings and "girly" work together like a charm:)
A close up on the stamp...the background text is from the song "going the the chapel and we're going to get married....."
For this next card I wanted to create something a little bit more "non-traditional" for weddings - I wanted to use "love" themed stamps and create a wedding card out of it.
I am very happy with how this turned out!
Look at how perfectly this paper co-ordinates with the stamp - yikes!! Crazy when that happens!! I found the MME Six by Six at Winners (Yes - Winners! of all places). When I went to create this card I had both the stamp set and the pad sitting on my desk - just waiting for me to realize how perfect they were for each other!! I honestly didn't plan it this way...
I added a sweet little sentiment inside to help bring it together as a real wedding card:
Supplies Used: Bazzill Cardstock; My Mind's Eye Six by Six - Honey Cake; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Fired Brick; Jenni Bowlin Ink - Brown Sugar; Maya Road Heart Trinket Pin; Heart Punch - EK Success; Ribbon - Stampin' Up; Lace & Photo Corners - Misc.
Unity Stamps Used:
Happily Ever After - 07/10 KOM (no longer available - sorry peeps)
I've been way overdue for a video, so on the fly I decided to film myself creating this card.
Check out this "paper clipping" - watch me work through my creative process and make this sweet wedding card from start to finish:
This next project I did awhile ago.
I knew (before Angela at Unity Stamp Co even posted that she was looking for new design team members) that I would apply to work for this company as soon as an opportunity presented itself. When it did, I wanted to make something really special using Unity Stamps. I have made tons of cards, and even though I love making them I wanted to showcase my talents and abilities differently. I had a vision of a beautiful, mostly white banner with a little color.....all the pattern and color coming from stamps, of course. And I am happy to say that I achieved the vision in my head. This is the banner I made to submit for the Unity Stamp Co Design Team call. I think it would be a perfect decor item at a wedding, hung on the front of the head table...or on the wall behind the newly married couple.
All my flowers were white too, so to add a bit of color and interest to them I also stamped on some of them.
I added lots of pearl buttons and beautiful lace trim to make the banner feel very "wedding" like.
And just think you could get one just like it in the mail simply by signing up here.
EVERY. SINGLE. WEEK.
A new stamp and sentiment = happy mail!!!
I loved creating my card around this fantastic stapler and sentiment....just too sweet!!
I really love how it all came together...
Of course I had to include staples as an embelly....
