Furry Friends....

Well, hello everyone!!

I feel like its been awhile since I was here last with Stuck On U Sketches (SOUS)!

I missed the last challenge (Disney) because I have absolutely no cartridges or die-cuts that I could make work...sometimes, well....you can't win them all!

Anyways, this challenge was a fun one!
I made two cards (to make up for my missed one...lol...actually just because I was having fun with it).
I got into the masculine card mode..which I like to take advantage of because mostly I do girly cards...

So a bit about the challenge first...

SOUS - Flowers

Its diecut challenge day over at Stuck On U Sketches (SOUS)!
I had fun with this one....this week's challenge is: FLOWERS.

I learned how to make this style of flower from the October Afternoon blog one day (follow the link here)...I love how they turn out so much...so sweet EVERY time!
This challenge was just another great excuse to pull out this technique and play....

I just cut out multiple flowers and stacked them with three dimensional adhesive...and then stitched a button into the center....perfect, me thinks :)

Mother.

Hi everyone!
It's time for another die cut challenge over at Stuck on U Sketches.
This week's challenge: MOTHER
Be sure to pop over to the blog to check out all the projects created by the other Design Team members. And of course to find out how you can participate in the challenge too! We love to see what creations you come up with!

OK...so here are my two takes on this challenge:

Celebrate Mother Earth
I made this card in celebration of Earth Day (April 22).
I also thought it would be fun to create a card for a "mother" challenge that wasn't the typical Mother's Day theme. I really love how this cutie turned out.

I went into Cricut Craftroom and played around with one of my fonts to create this "mother earth" die cut...turned out exactly how I wanted. Not bad for my first attempt at welding....lol.

Cricut Cartridges: Plantin SchoolBook & Give A Hoot; Cricut Craftroom
Supplies Used: Bazzill Cardstock & Kraft Paper; Crate Paper Emma's Shoppe Collection - Playhouse; Crate Paper Little Sprout Collection - Slate; Button - October Afternoon; Making Memories Metal Word - Card Sayings (Celebrate); EK Success Slim Edge Punch - Postage; Burlap Twine - Misc.

Congrats
Again I tried to stay away from creating a "Mother's Day" themed card...when I saw this image from the New Arrival cartridge I immediately got my idea to create a "congrats" card for the expecting mom and/or for a baby shower. I like the way the silhouette idea turned out.....

Cricut Cartridge: New Arrival
Supplies Used: Bazzill Cardstock; Fancy Pants 6X6 Paper Pad - Hopscotch; 7 Gypsies Barcelona Paper - Terrassa; Seam Binding Ribbon - Close to My Heart; Lindy Stamp Gang Starburst Spray -Bougainvillea Fuchsia; Linday Stamp Gang Moon Shadow Mist - Smoky Sapphire; Making Memories Metal Word - Card Sayings; Fabric Brad; Basic Grey Stitched Brads - Indie Bloom; Flowers - Making Memories; Photo Corners - Misc.

Well thank you so much for stopping by and checking out my cards today!
Happy Friday!!

Lucky Day - SOUS

Well hello everyone!

This week's die-cut challenge over at Stuck On U Sketches is
SHAMROCKS.

I have to admit I have never been one to go crazy over St. Patty's Day, so I tried to keep my card a little bit less "theme-y". I played up the "good luck" part of the shamrock idea instead of going towards St. Patty's. I am very happy how this card turned out...I think it would be sweet to give someone for a new venture in life or even just to encourage someone you love.

So here is my take on the challenge:

Supplies Used: Cricut Cartridge - Give A Hoot (Shamrock die); Bazzill Cardstock; Basic Grey Sweet Threads 6X6 Paper Pad; Crafts Too Embossing Folder - Sweet Flowers; Sentiment - Unity Stamp Co - Preggo-GOOD LUCK; Jenni Bowlin Ink - Seed Packet; Webster's Pages Designer Trim - Trendsetter; EK Success/Stampin Up Scallop Edge Punch; Button - Close to My Heart; Divine Twine - Green Apple; Labels - Jillibean Soup

Thanks for stopping by today!

OK, so back on track:
Today's die cut challenge was "BALLOONS".

Since Valentine's Day is coming up, I have been in a bit of a "love" mode (ok...and I might just be a little "twitter-patted" too - hehe). So I took the idea of balloons which normally says birthday or celebration to me and made a cute little Valentine's card for you all - I think this one would be perfect to give to a grandchild or son or daughter.....

I used glossy accents on my balloon to make it look a bit more realistic...
Supplies Used: Cricut Cartridge - Birthday Bash; Bazzill Cardstock; October Afternoon Boarding Pass - Tokyo; October Afternoon Farmhouse - Attic Trunk; K&CO - Ka-Zoo Multi Hearts; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Frayed Burlap & Worn Lipstick; Divine Twine - Licorice; Ranger Glossy Accents; Unity Stamp Co - Blossom Stackers (Be Mine sentiment); Jenni Bowlin Ink - Fountain Pen; Copic - E23; Stampin Up/EK Succes Three Hearts Punch & Scallop Edge Punch; Buttons, Google-ly Eyes, & B&W Polkadot Paper (a random, unidentified scrap - sorry) - Misc

Thanks so much for taking a peek at my card....
I am excited to get to know all of you better and I can only hope to send some creative inspiration your way!

Have a very happy Friday!
