And Happy 4th of July to all my American friends!

We are in the middle of a heat wave right now...yikes!

Which makes me wanna seek out the air conditioning and really not move much at all...LOL!

Anyways, this is the time of year where many of us are lucky enough to get out and do something out of the ordinary...and a few of my friends are doing just that.

I actually don't own that many cartridges for my Cricut, so when a challenge like this comes up, I need to get creative sometimes to make what I have work. 

I managed to come up with a "take" on the pink poodle skirts......

Playing Catch Up with Unity Thursday

Hi everyone!

This week I was playing (I'm always saying that!! LOL....because it really is playing!!)

with some of my stamps that I had yet to bust out and create with.

I wanted to play along with the Unity {be inspired} Challenge.....but sometimes it takes me a bit longer to get to ALL the projects I want to do. So I am only just getting to it now.....better late than never, right?

Anyways, here's a peak at the challenge...

I followed along with the card sketch and the color challenge.

I love this little technique - rolling the corner down. Adds a sweet bit of interest, femininity and texture....

MOMENTS

For this next card I really did get into play mode.....the whole thing is a bit technique heavy in comparison to my usual style...but I was just so inspired by the June 2013 Layers of Life {paper hearts}.

I created my own patterned paper by using the background stamp in multiple ink colors. Then I blended co-ordinating colors in with my distress inks to give it a more vintage and soft look. 

Then I stamped the butterfly image overtop in a brown color so it would contrast with the background. I also added a few pearls to bring your attention to it more...

Hello...Sunshine!

Well....Hello Sunshine!!

SUNSHINE...

warm, bright and happy sunshine....

that is the diecut challenge this week over at Stuck On U Sketches (SOUS)!

I don't know about all of you, but it sure is nice to pull out the shorts and the sundresses! 

The sunshine just makes me feel happier and lighter as I head into my days!

This cute little card will hopefully do the same, making someones day a bit brighter!

My sunshine diecut came from using the Cricut Cartridge - Create A Critter - some of the images on this cartridge are truly adorable...if you want 'cute' this is a must have cartridge, for sure!

Unity Thursday - Playing with Panda...

Hi all!!

 It's Unity Thursday!!!

I have to say this week I couldn't wait to get into my scrap room. That being said, it still took me forever to actually get in there...guess its that time of year...too many other things on the go.

But I did manage to create a few cards....

The sweetest little panda...in ALL the land...I finally got to play with this little guy....adorbs!

I love it when I come up with a masculine card that makes me HAPPY!!!
