Mother.

Hi everyone!
It's time for another die cut challenge over at Stuck on U Sketches.
This week's challenge: MOTHER
Be sure to pop over to the blog to check out all the projects created by the other Design Team members. And of course to find out how you can participate in the challenge too! We love to see what creations you come up with!

OK...so here are my two takes on this challenge:

Celebrate Mother Earth
I made this card in celebration of Earth Day (April 22).
I also thought it would be fun to create a card for a "mother" challenge that wasn't the typical Mother's Day theme. I really love how this cutie turned out.

I went into Cricut Craftroom and played around with one of my fonts to create this "mother earth" die cut...turned out exactly how I wanted. Not bad for my first attempt at welding....lol.

Cricut Cartridges: Plantin SchoolBook & Give A Hoot; Cricut Craftroom
Supplies Used: Bazzill Cardstock & Kraft Paper; Crate Paper Emma's Shoppe Collection - Playhouse; Crate Paper Little Sprout Collection - Slate; Button - October Afternoon; Making Memories Metal Word - Card Sayings (Celebrate); EK Success Slim Edge Punch - Postage; Burlap Twine - Misc.

Congrats
Again I tried to stay away from creating a "Mother's Day" themed card...when I saw this image from the New Arrival cartridge I immediately got my idea to create a "congrats" card for the expecting mom and/or for a baby shower. I like the way the silhouette idea turned out.....
