Scrapbook Nook Card Challenges

The Scrapbook Nook posted a couple of card challenges this week. I am a sucker for card challenges, so I had to make a couple cards to play along. The first challenge I played along with was a sketch challenge. See the sketch here or below.
Today I received my prize pack from My Mind's Eye so I was so excited to dig into my wonderful goodies and get creating! Both of these first two cards use their On the Bright Side collection. I have to say I am loving the color combos of these papers....another fantastic collection from My Mind's Eye!! And thank you so, so much for my wonderful gift!!

Ok so here are the cards I created using the sketch. As you can see, for both cards I flipped the sketch.

Supplies Used: Unity Stamp Co Heartfelt Sentiments; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Pine Needles; MME - On the Bright Side - Two 6X6 Paper Pad; Maya Road Chipboard; Ek Success/Stampin' Up Heart Punches; Ek Success Edge Punch; Spellbinders Nestabilities - Classic Circles; White Gelly Roll Pen; MME Miss Caroline Fiddlesticks "Love" Pins & Buttons; MME Follow Your Heart "Be Amazing" Buttons; Making Memories Spotlight Paint; Glitter Ritz Cool Highlight

Supplies Used: MME On the Bright Side - One 6X6 Paper Pad; Bazzill Cardstock; Unity Stamp Co - From Head to Soul KOM March 2012; Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Black Soot; Jenni Bowlin Ink - Fountain Pen; Photo Corners - Misc.

The Nook's other challenge was to use three paper posies on a card. Flowers on a card!! Love it!! Such an awesome embelly. And lately I have been inspired to create my own paper flowers more and more...this challenge included. So, of course, I had to play along.

Supplies Used: Crate Paper Pretty Party - Invitation; Crate Paper Pretty Party - Papercloth; Crate Paper Random Collection - Pattern; Echo Park Style Essentials - Yellow Damask; October Afternoon Sidewalks Word Stickers; Fabric Brads - Basic Grey, Sassafras Lass, Crate Paper; Washi Tape; EK Sucess Edge Punch; Paper Doily - Misc.

So there you have it! My fun for this afternoon. Thanks for stopping by and having a look!

On a side note: I haven't been posting as frequently on my blog these past couple of weeks but I promise I've been creating up a storm....cross your fingers for me as I have been submitting my cards for publication. Understandably, when you send in a submission they prefer it hasn't been viewed online before...so eventually I will share these creations with you - whether or not they get published.
