I have been sitting on this secret for three weeks now!! And finally I can share with you the most incredible news.....I am now designing for Unity Stamp Co!! How blessed am I to be designing for my favorite stamp company??! What a dream come true (am I really awake??)!! When I got the email from Angela I was squealing with excitement (or something like it). I guess I was making this strange noise while I kinda held my breath and tried not to freak out until I had read the whole email....my husband jumped out of bed and came running because he thought something was really wrong with me!!!! LOL....Nope....just so excited! I did do a little jumping around and freaking out after that of course!
I am so thrilled and honored (and yup...still a little shocked) to be part of this amazing team working with this incredible company. I have been lucky enough to start to get to know the other members on the team and I am in love with how sweet and caring this group is....I am feeling so blessed to be hanging out with these lovely ladies...a true family:) If you didn't come to my blog from Unity, head over there and meet the other ladies...I promise, you'll like them:)
So as my first official post as a Unity girl, I would like to share with you the layout I created using a bunch of my Unity stamps (of course) and this delicious sketch by Angie Blom. Since it's National Scrapbooking Day, Unity wanted to put a challenge out for all of you wonderful paper-crafters to participate in. So grab some inspo, use the sketch below and get creating along with us!
The challenge is open to everyone and the winner gets $100 worth of Unity Stamps!!! WOW!! Plus a chance to be a guest designer for the month of July!! So be sure to head over to the Unity blog and check out all the details.
And, of course, in true Unity fashion, they are having an incredible promo to help celebrate the day!
Okay so here is my take on the sketch:
Each one of these flowers was stamped onto pattern paper, fussy cut, layered and then I hand stitched the buttons on to create the flower center. I added a little bit of glitter to each flower too...just to add a bit of a festive feel to the page.
Instead of a typical journal card or space I used the Calendar Month Bella Blvd Itty Bitty...it seemed so appropriate for the annual theme of the page.
And then some journalling about the cake blooper...hehe...did you notice my name isn't spelled right???
The banner was hand stamped and then each cupcake was paper-pieced together....of course they were topped off with a little "frosting" - Stickles for some sparkle (hard to see the sparkle in the photos though, sorry).
