Playing Catch Up with Unity Thursday

Hi everyone!
Thanks for hopping by....

This week I was playing (I'm always saying that!! LOL....because it really is playing!!)
with some of my stamps that I had yet to bust out and create with.

I wanted to play along with the Unity {be inspired} Challenge.....but sometimes it takes me a bit longer to get to ALL the projects I want to do. So I am only just getting to it now.....better late than never, right?

Anyways, here's a peak at the challenge...

CELEBRATE YOU
I followed along with the card sketch and the color challenge.

I love this little technique - rolling the corner down. Adds a sweet bit of interest, femininity and texture....

Supplies Used: Bazzill Cardstock; Crate Paper Random Collection - Pattern & Curtains; Pink Paislee - Unbelievable; BoBunny Double Dot Designs Soft Shades 6X6 Paper Pad; Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Circles and Classic Scallops; EK Success/Stampin Up Three Hearts Punch; Kaisercraft Pearls - Yellow; Jenni Bowlin Ink - Spice Tin; Twine & Button - Misc.

Be sure to check out how you can play along in the Unity {be inspired} Challenge by following the link here.

MOMENTS
For this next card I really did get into play mode.....the whole thing is a bit technique heavy in comparison to my usual style...but I was just so inspired by the June 2013 Layers of Life {paper hearts}.

I created my own patterned paper by using the background stamp in multiple ink colors. Then I blended co-ordinating colors in with my distress inks to give it a more vintage and soft look.

Then I stamped the butterfly image overtop in a brown color so it would contrast with the background. I also added a few pearls to bring your attention to it more...

Supplies Used: Bazzill Cardstock; Simple Stories Documented - Damask Ledger/Grid; We R Memory Keepers Comstock Collection - Candy; Jenni Bowlin Ink - Stick Candy, Speckled Egg, Chicken Feed, Lemon Drops & Brown Sugar; Tim Holtz Distress Inks - Vintage Photo, Bundled Sage, Broken China, Spiced Marmalade & Mustard Seed; Kaisercraft Pearls - Pearl; Spellbinders Fancy Tags; October Afternoon Sprinklers - Comet Tail; Jillibean Soup - Butterfly Sugar Picks; Flower, Lace, Seam Binding & Paper Doily - Misc.

I hope you feel inspired to check out the challenge and the Layers of Life program....both are great ways to enjoy more beautiful red rubber from Unity!
Now it's time for you to continue on your way....

Your next stop is the wonderful Stephanie Muzzulin....
